1. Platform Role & Tutor Status
iTutors.online is an online tutoring platform that connects tutors with students. Tutors are independent users and are not employed by iTutors.online. By registering, tutors agree to abide by the following terms and policies.
2. Eligibility & Registration
- Tutors must be at least 18 years old.
- Tutors are responsible for ensuring they meet any legal, professional, or regulatory requirements applicable in their region.
- All tutor registrations are subject to manual review. Approval is based on the completeness and accuracy of submitted information.
3. Session Oversight & Recording
- iTutors.online records and monitors all online tutoring sessions conducted through the platform.
- Recordings are used for quality assurance, dispute resolution, and safeguarding purposes.
- By conducting sessions on the platform, tutors consent to this oversight.
- Recordings are stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR.
4. Code of Conduct
Tutors must:
- Maintain professionalism, respect, and courtesy in all interactions.
- Avoid discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour.
- Use the platform only for educational purposes and avoid sharing personal contact details outside the system.
- Report any safeguarding concerns or misconduct immediately via the Contact Us page.
5. Session Delivery
- Tutors must be punctual, prepared, and responsive to student needs.
- Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
6. Earnings & Commission
- iTutors.online retains a flat 30% commission on all lessons conducted through the platform.
- Tutors receive 70% of the total lesson fee, regardless of the rate they set or the number of sessions delivered.
- Commission rates are fixed and non-negotiable.
- Earnings are disbursed according to the platform’s payout schedule and may vary by region or payment method.
- Tutors are responsible for their own tax reporting and compliance.
7. Intellectual Property
- Tutors must not use or distribute copyrighted materials without proper licensing or permission.
- Content created for students remains the property of iTutors.online unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
- Tutors agree to handle student data responsibly and in accordance with UK GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.
- Personal data shared during sessions must be limited to educational relevance and protected from misuse.
9. Account Suspension & Termination
- iTutors.online reserves the right to suspend or terminate tutor accounts for:
- Breach of these terms
- Misconduct or safety concerns
- Inactivity or failure to deliver sessions reliably
- Tutors may request account deletion or data access via the Contact Us page.
